To report a fire, summon police or an ambulance anywhere in Cass Township, in an emergency telephone 911.

Cass Township has three volunteer fire companies:

• Clover Fire Company
• Forestville Citizens Fire Company
• South Cass Fire Company

 Township Fire Marshal John Kellman Jr. acts as liaison between them.

The fire companies have a mutual aid agreement, and volunteer firefighters from all companies support one another at scenes of fires, accidents and other emergencies. Members of the public are invited to volunteer to fight fires or raise money by joining any of the fire companies, which meet regularly.
